Job Description
About us
We are one of the fastest-growing advanced Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and mental wellbeing platforms in the world. Founded in Switzerland in 2021, we support more than 3 million covered lives across 90+ countries, trusted by market-leading multinational enterprises and backed at Series A by Swisscom Ventures, Amplo, and GreyMatter Capital. Our team of 35 individuals of 15+ nationalities is employed directly through our legal entities in Germany, Switzerland, and the US (Texas, Rhode Island, Florida), via Employer of Record (EOR) partners in Canada, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, Denmark and the UK, and through freelancers in Pakistan and other locations. SOME THINGS WE’RE PROUD OF - 🧠 Building an industry leading solution for mental well-being - 🌎 300.000+ users across 90+ countries - 🤝 Partnered with 200+ licensed psychologists and coaches - 💲 €15M+ venture capital raised from renowned investors - 🎁 Awesome benefits, including unlimited access to our Comprehensive Mental Health App About The Role The Founder’s Associate sits directly beside the founders. This is not an administrative role; it is an operational strike-force position. You will take the highest-stakes, most ambiguous cross-functional problems off the founders' desks and drive them to execution. You will build a 360-degree view of how a venture-backed startup scales, making this the ultimate launchpad for a future COO, VP of Ops, or Founder. What You'll do - Own the Core Value Narrative (ROI & Clinical Impact): Lead the data strategy to analytically prove Kyan’s clinical impact. You will structure our user-behaviour metrics and build the quantitative models that our global enterprise sales and investor relations teams use to prove our platform's ROI.- Build our Enterprise-Grade Operational Backbone: Drive Kyan to SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA certification on a single, unified control framework.
- Execute Cross-Functional "Special Projects": Act as the internal consultant and operator to scope, mobilize, and deliver urgent corporate priorities across product, engineering, clinical, legal, and sales.
- Inject Structure into High-Growth Ambiguity: Translate high-level founder priorities into sharp, trackable workstreams with clear ownership and KPIs, holding the line on company-wide delivery.
- Days 31–60: Launch the first iteration of our empirical ROI model—defining exactly how we measure and pitch "what works" to enterprise clients.
- Days 61–90: Fully take the wheel on the SOC 2/HIPAA implementation pipeline and establish yourself as the go-to operator for the founders' thorniest strategic bottlenecks.
- Technical & Data Literacy: You are comfortable digging into data structures, framing key product metrics, and speaking creditably with engineering and product leaders.
- A "Go-Through-Walls" Execution Mindset: You don't just hand off a deck; you own the outcome.
- High Tolerance for Autonomy: You thrive with incomplete context. You need absolute clarity on the objective, but you prefer to figure out the how yourself. How We Work (Our Values) - Own the Uncertainty: We move fast and thrive with incomplete context.
- Show Up When It Matters: Real high-performance is sustainable. Pretending every day requires 100% capacity leads to burnout, and we don't play corporate theater.
- Earn Trust Through Execution: Titles and tenure don't grant trust; consistent behavior does. We build trust daily by doing exactly what we said we would do and delivering bad news early and unvarnished.
- High Bar, Low Ego: We treat each other with deep respect, especially when we disagree.
- Direct Mentorship: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders on the existential problems that decide whether Kyan wins.
Salary
Tiered based on location and experience level - Meaningful Equity: A generous Series A stock option grant, ensuring you hold true founder-level alignment and financial upside in the company's growth.- Health & Wellbeing: Full access to the Kyan Health platform for you and your family, alongside local wellness benefits.
- Hardware & Setup: Top-tier remote work toolkit (MacBook Pro, external monitor, and a home-office stipend).
- Compliant Employment: Contracted smoothly via our local entities or global employment partners (EOR)—meaning full compliance, local taxes, and benefits taken care of automatically.
How to Stand Out
- Highlight your experience with cross‑functional remote collaboration tools (e.g., Notion for project docs, Miro for visual brainstorming, and Slack/Teams for daily communication). In your cover letter, include a short “tool stack” table showing how you used each tool to coordinate with distributed teams and the measurable outcomes (e.g., 20% faster sprint delivery).
- Build a one‑page “Founder’s Associate Dashboard” as a portfolio piece: use Google Data Studio or Tableau to visualize key metrics you would track for Kyan Health (user adoption, therapist response time, NPS). Attach the interactive link in your application; interviewers will love seeing you can turn raw data into actionable insights from day one.
- Demonstrate cultural fit by referencing Kyan Health’s multinational EOR model. Mention at least two specific countries you’ve worked with (e.g., Germany and South Africa) and describe how you navigated legal or time‑zone constraints—this shows you can thrive in their globally‑distributed setup.
- Prepare a 5‑minute “case sprint” for the interview: pick a recent mental‑wellbeing trend (e.g., AI‑driven chat‑coaching) and outline a rapid go‑to‑market plan, including stakeholder map, MVP scope, and success metrics. Interviewers use this to gauge strategic thinking and the ability to operate like a founder’s right‑hand.
- When discussing compensation, reference the company’s Series A backing and cost‑of‑living adjustments for remote employees. Propose a tiered package: base salary aligned with Swiss/US benchmarks, a performance‑based equity tranche tied to user‑growth milestones, and a remote‑work stipend for home‑office upgrades. This signals market awareness and negotiation confidence.
