Founding Creator — Knowunity US
Content & Writing
Job Description
30M+ students use Knowunity. In Europe we built one of the biggest creator programs in the world: 1B+ views across 25+ countries. Now we're bringing it to the US, and we need two Founding Creators to make it blow up. This isn't bedroom UGC. You'll be in the field, face to face with students at schools and on the streets, turning real conversations into content that drives downloads.
The Role
Street interviews, school activations, giveaways, pioneering new formats with us. 2-3x a week, camera rolling. The deal: $4,000 base + performance bonus, ~20 hrs/week, full ownership of US content growth, and a Founding Creator title on your CV (you launched a $50M-backed company in the US). You: Extroverted, plugged into student culture, fast, based in or near a big US city. Apply with your best friend (optional). We want two people who already click on camera. If you've got a partner in crime, apply together (each fill out the form, mention each other below). How to Stand Out
- Show a ready‑to‑go content kit: Upload a short (60‑90 s) video portfolio that includes at least one on‑camera street interview, a school‑yard activation, and a quick giveaway segment. Highlight your role (camera, editing, on‑the‑spot questioning) and embed metrics (views, engagement, any lead‑gen) so the hiring team can see you already produce the exact format they need.
- Map your local student ecosystem: In your cover letter, list three high‑traffic student hubs (e.g., a university quad, a popular coffee shop near a campus, a community event) within a 30‑mile radius of your base city. Include a brief “first‑week activation plan” that outlines how you’d secure permission, schedule interviews, and capture at least 15 usable clips in a 2‑day sprint.
- Demonstrate mastery of lightweight production tools: Cite specific gear you already own (e.g., iPhone 14 Pro with gimbal, Rode Wireless GO II, portable LED) and the editing stack you use (Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, or Final Cut Pro X). If you can edit a 30‑second teaser in under 15 minutes, mention that speed and share a time‑stamped example.
- Quantify your extroverted impact: Provide concrete numbers from past roles—e.g., “ran 12 pop‑up interviews at college events, generating 8,000+ organic TikTok views and 1,200 app sign‑ups in one week.” Recruiters for a Founding Creator want proof you can turn face‑to‑face interactions into measurable growth.
- Negotiate the performance bonus upfront: When discussing compensation, ask for a clear KPI‑linked bonus structure (e.g., $X per 10,000 downloads attributed to your content, or $Y per 100,000 video views). Prepare a simple spreadsheet that projects your bonus at three realistic performance tiers, showing you understand the business model and are ready to hit targets.
