Full-Stack Developer (Mexico)
Software Development
Job Description
Anyone AI is recruiting skilled Full-Stack Developers (Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go) to work on a project with a leading AI lab.
Qualifications
- Advanced professional written proficiency in English - 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience - Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go - Backend or full‑stack development experience in production systems - Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing) - Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi‑file codebases - Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations Engagement: Part-time, project-based expert evaluation work Work Type: Remote Contributors will design and evaluate realistic software engineering tasks, including bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring/migration, and test generation.
Responsibilities
Contributors will: - Design and implement multi-file coding tasks across bug fixing, feature development, refactoring, and testing - Write clear natural-language specifications and reference implementations - Develop and extend unit and integration test suites - Review peer-generated tasks for correctness, clarity, and realism - Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes - Ensure alignment between specifications, code, and expected outputs Expected Outcomes: - High-quality, production-realistic coding tasks - Complete and correct reference implementations - Robust test coverage and validation artifacts - Structured, actionable peer review feedbackHow to Stand Out
- Highlight any AI‑related projects in your resume or GitHub (e.g., using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenAI APIs) and be ready to discuss how you integrated Python back‑ends with JavaScript/TypeScript front‑ends for model serving or inference pipelines—Anyone AI will view this as direct relevance to their AI‑lab collaboration.
- Build a short demo repo (≤10 files) that showcases a full‑stack feature: a Python FastAPI or Flask service exposing an endpoint, a TypeScript/React client consuming it, and unit tests written with pytest and Jest. Include a clear README, CI badge, and a “Run locally” script; link it in your cover letter to prove you can ship production‑ready code quickly.
- Prepare concrete examples of debugging large, multi‑module codebases: describe a specific incident (e.g., tracing a memory leak across a monorepo, using VS Code remote debugging, or logging with Sentry) and quantify the impact (time saved, bugs resolved). Interviewers often ask for a “walk‑through of your toughest bug.”
- During the interview, demonstrate familiarity with the testing stack they list: write a one‑minute live snippet that adds a new pytest test case or a Jest snapshot test, and explain your approach to test coverage, mocking external AI services, and CI integration—this shows you can maintain the rigorous quality standards they expect.
- When discussing compensation, reference Mexico’s remote market rates for part‑time senior full‑stack engineers (≈ USD 30–45 / hour) and factor in the project‑based nature. Propose a tiered rate (e.g., higher for AI‑specific deliverables) and ask about performance bonuses tied to milestone completions to align expectations early.
