How to Stand Out
- Highlight proven experience selling AI‑driven security solutions: in your resume and cover letter, quantify wins with Fortune 500 or federal customers (e.g., “closed $3 M contract with a federal agency for AI‑based threat‑intelligence platform”) and reference any prior work with security operations, workplace‑violence prevention, or executive‑protection services.
- Build a sales‑pipeline showcase using the same CRM Ontic uses (most likely Salesforce or HubSpot). Prepare a 1‑page “pipeline audit” that maps your last 12 months of prospects, stages, and close rates, and be ready to discuss how you’d adapt that process to Ontic’s Connected Intelligence Platform.
- Demonstrate mastery of data‑driven selling: craft a short slide deck (2–3 slides) that combines threat‑risk metrics, ROI calculations, and a “time‑to‑response” reduction model for a hypothetical client. Bring this to the interview to illustrate how you translate AI insights into tangible business outcomes.
- Prepare case studies that focus on cross‑functional collaboration with product, engineering, and security teams. Show specific examples where you gathered technical feedback, influenced product road‑maps, and then used the updated features to win new accounts—Ontic values directors who can bridge sales and security engineering.
- Research Ontic’s recent funding rounds, partner ecosystem (e.g., integrations with law‑enforcement data sources), and any press about new AI capabilities. In the salary discussion, benchmark the Group Director role against comparable remote SaaS security positions (typically $200‑$250 k base + 30‑50 % OTE) and be ready to negotiate a performance‑linked equity package tied to North‑America revenue targets.
