About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, vendor and SaaS contracts, NDAs, and related documentation.
• Handle day-to-day legal questions from teams across the business and give practical, commercially grounded answers.
• Support product and corporate legal work across Somnia's entities and jurisdictions.
• Track developments in crypto and digital-asset regulation (for example MiCA, Clarity Act, and comparable frameworks) and turn them into actionable guidance.
• Maintain and improve internal templates, playbooks, and contract-tracking processes.
• Coordinate with external counsel where specialist input is needed.

Requirements

• A law degree and the possibility to work core hours in the CET timezone (Europe preferred).
• One to three years of relevant legal experience, ideally gained at a law firm or in-house.
• A genuine interest in both crypto and AI. Hands-on crypto or Web3 experience is a strong plus but not required.
• The ability to run matters independently while knowing when to escalate.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, and clear written English.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.

• Highlight your experience drafting and reviewing smart‑contract clauses, token‑sale agreements, and DAO governance documents; include red‑lined samples or a brief case study (with confidential info removed) in your application to demonstrate fluency with Web3‑specific legal frameworks.
• Showcase proficiency with blockchain analysis tools (e.g., Etherscan, Dune Analytics) and compliance platforms such as Chainalysis or Tokeny; mention specific instances where you used these tools to assess regulatory risk or conduct due‑diligence on on‑chain assets.
• Prepare a concise “Legal Tech Stack” slide for the interview that lists your go‑to contract‑automation tools (Clause.io, Ironclad), version‑control (Git/GitHub), and collaboration platforms (Notion, Slack, Zoom) to prove you can operate efficiently in a fully remote, fast‑paced environment.
• Anticipate scenario‑based interview questions about jurisdictional challenges (e.g., US‑SEC vs. EU‑MiCA) for autonomous agents; rehearse a 2‑minute framework that covers risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and a clear recommendation hierarchy to show strategic thinking.
• When discussing compensation, reference Somnia’s backing by Improbable and MSquared and the high‑growth nature of the Agentic Chain; propose a tiered package that includes a base salary, equity tied to token vesting, and a remote‑work stipend for legal research subscriptions or secure VPN services.
