Product Manager
WFA Digital Insight
xpate’s Product Manager opening zeroes in on the machinery that keeps a fast‑moving fintech operation humming, not the customer‑facing features that dominate most job ads. The role sits at the crossroads of product, ops, engineering and data, demanding a mindset that treats workflows as systems to be stripped of manual friction. Candidates will be expected to surface automation sweet spots, prototype AI‑assisted solutions, and measure concrete impact like SLA improvement or error reduction. Unlike typical product gigs, there’s no marketing roadmap here—success is defined by how smoothly internal teams can move, and by the tangible time saved through clever tooling. Applicants should come ready to discuss real‑world automation wins, not abstract concepts.
Job Description
We’re looking for a Product Manager to build the operational backbone of the company — internal platforms, workflow systems, and AI-powered automation for operational teams. This is not a growth, onboarding, or customer-facing product role. You’ll work on the systems that keep operations running at scale: back-office platforms, review workflows, case management, compliance operations, internal tooling, and process automation. We’re looking for someone who loves fixing operational chaos, simplifying complex workflows, and using automation and AI to eliminate repetitive manual work. You should be excited by questions like: What parts of this process should not exist manually? Where can AI reduce operational load? How do we help teams move faster with fewer errors? What should be automated, and where should humans stay in the loop? This role sits at the intersection of Product, Operations, Engineering, Data and AI enablement. ]]> Your role at xpate: Build and scale internal operational platforms and workflow systems. Identify high-impact automation opportunities across operational processes. Design AI-assisted workflows that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability. Partner closely with operations teams to understand bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Work with engineering and data teams to ship practical automation solutions. Prototype and validate ideas quickly using modern AI and productivity tools. Define and measure operational impact: automation rate, SLA reduction, processing speed, quality improvement, and operational efficiency. Continuously improve workflows based on data and real operational usage. ]]> We’re ready to meet you, if… Has experience building internal tools, operational systems, workflow platforms, or back-office products. Thinks in systems, workflows, operational efficiency and scalability. Has worked on automation initiatives, ideally involving AI or intelligent workflows. Can clearly demonstrate measurable business impact from their work. Has strong ownership and execution skills - from problem discovery to shipped solution. Moves fast, prototypes quickly, and actively uses AI tools in daily work. Is comfortable operating in ambiguity and improving messy processes. Enjoys working closely with operational teams and solving real execution problems. Nice to have Fintech, payments, compliance, or risk operations experience. Experience with AI-assisted operations, LLM workflows, or internal copilots. Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code automation tools. Experience in high-scale or regulated environments. ]]> What working at xpate looks like: Build products with direct operational and business impact. Work on meaningful AI automation problems, not AI hype projects. High ownership, fast decision-making, and strong execution culture. Opportunity to shape how operational teams work at scale. Flexible work environment. Competitive compensation and benefits. ]]> Why join xpate? We’re building the financial backbone of the future — where payments move freely and businesses grow without barriers. If you want real impact, freedom to innovate, and work that drives change, xpate is the place for you . ]]>
How to Stand Out
- Highlight any internal tool or workflow automation projects you’ve shipped, especially if you used AI or LLM APIs.
- Prepare a short case study that quantifies the efficiency gain or error reduction you achieved.
- Familiarize yourself with low‑code platforms like Zapier or Retool; be ready to discuss how you’d prototype a solution.
- Show that you can speak the language of both engineers and ops teams – clear, jargon‑free explanations win.
- During interviews, ask about the current biggest operational bottleneck; demonstrating curiosity shows you’re already thinking like a problem‑solver.
- If salary isn’t disclosed, research typical remote Product Manager compensation in fintech and be ready to negotiate based on impact.
- Watch for vague promises about “flexibility” without concrete remote‑work support; ask about equipment allowances and collaboration tools.
