- Build a one‑page “Reimbursement Dashboard” in Excel that models payer coverage pathways for Barostim therapy across the Eastern US states; include slicers for payer type, hospital size, and procedure volume, and be ready to share this live workbook in the interview to demonstrate your analytical and Excel mastery.
- Assemble a portfolio of three concrete case studies where you secured or expanded reimbursement for a medical device or therapy, highlighting the problem, your negotiation strategy with insurers, the financial impact (e.g., $M in projected revenue), and any travel logistics you managed; format each as a concise PDF with screenshots of approval letters or payer contracts.
- Research CVRx’s key payer partners and recent CMS rulings on cardiac device reimbursement; prepare talking points that show you can anticipate coverage gaps for Barostim and propose a regional “payer‑education tour” that aligns with the 50‑70 % travel requirement and demonstrates proactive collaboration.
- During the interview, use the STAR method to recount a time you led a cross‑functional team (sales, clinical, regulatory) to resolve a reimbursement denial; emphasize measurable outcomes, your use of data visualization in Excel to track progress, and how you maintained remote communication across time zones.
- When discussing compensation, reference industry benchmarks for regional medical‑device reimbursement managers (e.g., base salary $130‑150 k + performance bonus) and propose a tiered travel allowance tied to mileage and regional market growth targets, showing you understand the cost structure of a remote, travel‑heavy role.
