They are expanding their cloud capabilities in Azure and positioning themselves as a technology company. In this role, you will own and evolve their Azure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational practices. You'll design, build, and optimize the platform that connects their applications, data, and integrations—automating delivery, hardening infrastructure-as-code, and driving reliability, security, and cost efficiency across a complex, distributed environment.
This organization is actively investing in modernizing how they build and operate in the cloud, and you will be a key contributor to that work.
What it's like to work here:
This organization empowers high-performance teams to solve complex global challenges through creativity, partnership, and technology. Employees enjoy a supportive, collaborative environment where initiative and growth are celebrated. With a focus on work-life balance and professional development, this company provides meaningful opportunities for technical and personal advancement in a distributed workplace.
What you will get to do:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) for multi-environment delivery.
- Own the end-to-end build, test, and deployment automation for their product and other critical applications.
- Establish normalized, regulated CI/CD pipeline builds through infrastructure-as-code and standardized tooling.
- Implement DevSecOps practices, including SAS/DAS scanning and security hardening across all pipelines.
- Optimize pipeline performance for speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Design and own Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking, identity (RBAC), Key Vault, monitoring, and alerting.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and/or Bicep for reproducible, version-controlled infrastructure.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Azure Container Registry (ACR), and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Architect and optimize Azure services for scale, latency, security, and cost.
- Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives and establish best practices for cloud operations.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities to expand Azure adoption across the organization.
- Own the build pipelines, GitHub workflows, and infrastructure for Navigator, their commercial AI-native service logistics product.
- Manage containers and different setups for the ETL process, ensuring reliability and performance for data pipeline operations.
- Oversee service governance, configuration, and security aspects of AI workloads running in production.
- Ensure AI workloads meet production standards for reliability, security, monitoring, and cost efficiency.
- Function as a peer with the Senior AI/Application Engineer on shared infrastructure ownership.
- Offload DevOps work from engineers currently wearing ops hats, freeing them to focus on application development.
- Assess existing infrastructure and pipelines; contribute immediately to remaining work and take ongoing ownership.
- Normalize CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications in flight (currently on different stacks) to reduce architecture burn and contextual switching.
- Build repeatable patterns and internal tooling that accelerate future infrastructure and deployment work across the organization.
- Plan for scaling as new applications come online and new integrations are required.
- Help the organization understand and optimize costs in Azure.
