Senior Engineering Manager
WFA Digital Insight
Vanilla Technologies is a niche AI‑powered estate‑planning platform that blends legal expertise with SaaS scaling. The Senior Engineering Manager role stands out because it isn’t a traditional people‑manager position; it’s a true player‑coach who still writes production code and tackles ambiguous technical challenges. Candidates will be expected to roll up their sleeves, review pull requests, and architect solutions that keep the product both visual and intelligent. The job also weaves engineering leadership with cross‑functional collaboration—working directly with product, design, sales, and even pre‑sales support—so the manager must translate technical constraints into business outcomes. Because the team is fully distributed across many U.S. states, the ability to mentor remotely while maintaining a high bar for code quality is essential.
