  Here's how you'll make a difference:

  • Develop, monitor and maintain scalable and reliable fullstack software systems using Typescript (React, Node) in an AWS environment

  • Collaborate on the architecture of complex web applications

  • Work closely with the platform and the frontend team to ensure seamless integrations

  • Coach developers with less experience
    

  What makes you a great fit

  • Minimum 5 years of development using modern tech stack (including at least 3 years of React & Node + Typescript)

  • Experience with relational databases, ideally Aurora PostgreSQL

  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture

  • Familiarity with AWS

  • You know how to use monitoring tools such as Sentry, Datadog and Grafana

  • Background in scale-up and/or rapid change environments, ideally in SaaS businesses

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Strong analytical thinking

• Build a mini‑project that demonstrates end‑to‑end TypeScript code: a React front‑end calling a Node/Express API, both deployed via AWS (e.g., using Serverless Framework or CDK). Include a short README with architecture diagrams, Terraform/CloudFormation scripts, and performance metrics to showcase your ability to design scalable, production‑grade services.
• Highlight any experience automating data‑driven reporting with Excel (e.g., generating CSVs from AWS Lambda, using Power Query or VBA for analytics) in your CV and bring a portfolio piece that shows how you turned raw security‑simulation logs into actionable dashboards for stakeholders.
• Prepare concrete examples of how you’ve mentored junior developers remotely—describe the tools (GitHub PR reviews, Pair‑programming via VS Live Share, async code walkthroughs) and measurable outcomes (e.g., reduced onboarding time by 30% or improved code quality scores).
• In the interview, expect architecture‑design whiteboard sessions focused on micro‑service communication, AWS cost optimisation, and CI/CD pipelines. Practice articulating trade‑offs (e.g., Lambda vs. ECS, DynamoDB vs. RDS) and be ready to sketch a high‑level diagram on a virtual whiteboard.
• For salary negotiations, research UK remote senior full‑stack benchmarks (e.g., £100‑£130 k base plus equity) and factor SoSafe’s “human risk management” niche.
