Senior People Analytics Analyst
WFA Digital Insight
GitLab’s People Analytics team sits at the intersection of data engineering and HR strategy, and this senior analyst role pulls together both worlds. Unlike generic data‑science positions, the focus is squarely on people‑related metrics—turning hiring, retention and engagement data into clear, actionable guidance for leaders across the company. The job demands more than just reporting; you’ll design surveys, manage the end‑to‑end analytics intake process, and work closely with the Data team to automate workflows using AI. Candidates should be comfortable translating raw SQL output into visual stories for non‑technical stakeholders, and be ready to own documentation that keeps the analytics ecosystem transparent. Expect a collaborative environment where the product’s AI‑first mindset extends to the analytics function itself.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce well-organized reference materials.
- Experience with Workday reporting and data extraction, people systems such as Greenhouse or Culture Amp, or AI experimentation and automation in analytics workflows is helpful but not required.
