Senior Pharmacist Clinician at AIOS Medical- Remote, £80k - £95k/yr inc equity
WFA Digital Insight
AIOS is not a typical pharmacy startup; it is building the world’s first full‑stack AI doctor and already serves a high‑volume patient base through its Bolt Pharmacy brand. The Senior Pharmacist Clinician role sits at the nexus of clinical expertise and product development, giving a pharmacist a rare chance to influence both patient outcomes and the software that powers them. Leadership here means owning the day‑to‑day safety and quality of a remote prescribing team, handling the most complex cases, and feeding real‑world insights back to engineers. Candidates should be comfortable working in a regulated telehealth environment, enjoy rapid iteration, and see themselves as both clinicians and product partners.
Job Description
ABOUT AIOS AIOS is building the world’s first full-stack AI doctor. We’re at $350M ARR, growing from $10M/yr 12 months ago. We’re the world’s fastest growing AI doctor. We’re faithfully serving >150k/mo patients via Bolt Pharmacy, our main UK brand. We’re profitable. Our strategy exists at the intersection of two strong theses: 1. The AI doctor that wins will get to escape velocity using GLP-1s, the fastest growing consumer product in history. 2. The $2T European healthcare market is overlooked by the most talented builders. Our master plan: - Step 0 → $100M/yr by end of 2025: We went from $10M to $100M in 6 months serving the UK GLP-1 market.
- Step 1 → $1B ARR by end of 2026: Over the last 12 months we've grown from 3k to 150k UK active GLP-1 patients.
- Step 2 → $10B ARR by end of 2028: Blitzscale Europe. We’ll be Europe’s largest GLP-1 provider.
- Step 3 → $100B/yr by end of 2031: Get regulatory approval across Europe for our Full Autonomous Prescribing (FAP) system. Win contracts at scale with European payers to mass replace human labor.
- Step 4 → $1T/yr by end of 2035: With one line of code and zero human time, you can use AIOS to treat any patient globally with any medication. In so doing, we’ll become the world’s first trillion-dollar healthcare company. We’re a young, founder-led company. This is still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.
- Escalations: Take the complex cases yourself - comorbidities, polypharmacy, off-label decisions - and turn them into better protocols and patient questionnaires by providing feedback to the Product team.
- Set the Bar: Reinforce high standards, urgency, radical candour and zero tolerance for mediocrity within the org.
- Team Performance: Run regular audits of prescribing quality and protocol compliance, investigate errors and near misses, and escalate serious safeguarding, regulatory or data-protection concerns fast.
- Protocols: Translate new evidence and regulatory guidance into practical clinical process, contributing to refined protocols. NEED TO HAVE - Clinical Leadership: GPhC-registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber annotation, ≥5 years post-registration, and real experience leading or supervising other pharmacists.
- GLP-1 Depth: You've prescribed weight management, GLP-1s or a closely related clinical area.
- Governance: You have a track record of running or supporting clinical audit, governance, incident review or quality improvement, and know how to turn findings into changes that stick.
- Data: Data is your language of love.
- Performance: You're comfortable operating in a highly metrics-driven environment, where expectations are clearly set and standards relentlessly upheld.
- Integrity: You do the right thing even when no one is looking, and make sure every prescriber in your team does the same.
- Sharpness: You are organised, detail-oriented, and able to build simple systems that keep the team moving fast without getting sloppy.
- Collaboration: You work effectively across clinical, operational, customer experience and dispensary teams - and are comfortable challenging senior leadership when needed.
- Distance-selling experience: you've worked in an online or distance-selling pharmacy and understand the realities of remote, GPhC-regulated care.
- Protocols: you've contributed to the development of clinical policies or prescribing pathways before.
- Postgraduate: you hold a postgraduate clinical pharmacy, leadership or management qualification.
- AI-native: you use AI tools to move faster, improve quality, reduce admin, and increase your own output.
- Agentic: you are a doer.
- If we’re average we fail: We are only interested in “insanely great”, a focus on the quality of our execution that in everyday life would be considered pathological. We have a dedication to excellence and reject incompetence. 5. Commitment to candor: That which can be destroyed by the truth should be. You get full transparency from the company and the company expects full transparency from you.
- ## Compensation
- Healthcare: comprehensive medical insurance (if appropriate) - Vacation: PTO with a yearly minimum (≥2wks/yr + local national holidays) - Personal development: budget for books, courses, coaching (£1000/yr) - Personal wellness: budget for gym, health apps (£1000/yr) - Coaching: free biweekly health coaching - Equipment: Macbook & work-from-home equipment provided as needed - What are we missing?
How to Stand Out
- Highlight any experience you have with GLP‑1 therapies or chronic disease management in your CV; AIOS values deep therapeutic expertise.
- Prepare concrete examples of how you’ve improved a clinical workflow or provided product feedback; be ready to discuss the impact.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Excel by sharing a brief data‑analysis project or dashboard you built for a pharmacy team.
- Emphasize remote‑work discipline: mention your home‑office setup, communication tools you master, and how you stay aligned with distributed teams.
- During interviews, ask about the feedback loop between clinicians and engineers; showing curiosity about the AI‑driven process signals strong cultural fit.
- If equity is discussed, understand the typical vesting schedule for UK startups and be ready to negotiate based on your seniority and impact.
- Watch for any vague references to “unlimited PTO” without clear policy; clarify expectations around time off early in the process.
