ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Product Manager to turn social sharing and community into real growth engines for Wealthsimple. You'll own products like screenshot sharing, WealthRank, Portfolio Pulse, and Profiles — and dream up new ways for clients to show off their progress, learn from each other, and bring their friends along. This is product, growth, and community, all in one seat. Your job isn't just shipping features — it's building the loops that make people want to come back, share, and invite others. You'll set the vision, own the roadmap, and be accountable for the numbers that matter: engagement, virality, retention, and new clients. We're looking for someone with sharp consumer product instincts and a real feel for social behaviour and network effects. Someone comfortable developing a long-term product vision, studying why something spreads, digging into behavioural data, and working with design and engineering to ship the next experiment. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Set the strategy and vision for social sharing and community at Wealthsimple, establishing how these experiences contribute to engagement, virality, retention, and new-client growth.
- Own and grow features such as screenshot sharing, WealthRank, Portfolio Pulse, and Profiles, while developing new social and community experiences from the ground up.
- Build product-led growth loops that give clients compelling reasons to create, share, return, connect, and invite others.
- Own the roadmap and full product lifecycle, from opportunity identification and validation through development, launch, analysis, and iteration.
- Establish clear goals and measurement frameworks for the portfolio, including engagement, sharing, earned reach, referral behaviour, network effects, and incremental client growth.
- Use quantitative analysis, experimentation, user research, and broader consumer-product trends to uncover opportunities and determine what to build next.
- Develop and run a high-velocity experimentation program, using each launch to generate insights and inform future product decisions.
- Partner closely with design, engineering, data, marketing, compliance, and other product teams to deliver experiences that are useful, intuitive, trustworthy, and distinctly Wealthsimple.
- Maintain a strong understanding of social platforms, consumer apps, online communities, and emerging behaviours, translating relevant patterns into original ideas for Wealthsimple.
- A record of owning meaningful product outcomes rather than simply delivering features or managing a roadmap.
- Strong consumer product judgment and an understanding of what makes experiences engaging, repeatable, and shareable.
- Experience with product-led growth, including areas such as viral loops, referrals, network effects, social sharing, engagement, or retention.
- Strong analytical and experimentation skills, with the ability to translate behavioural data into product insights and decisions.
- Experience taking products through the full development cycle, from early discovery and definition through launch, measurement, and optimization.
- The ability to develop a clear strategic point of view while moving quickly and learning through execution.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to align teams around the problem, desired outcome, and path forward.
- A high degree of ownership, curiosity, and comfort operating in an ambitious and evolving product area.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate research, prototyping, analysis, documentation, or product development.
- Experience developing products with measurable network effects or organic acquisition loops.
- Familiarity with personal finance, investing, or how people discuss money online.
