Senior Services Solutions Manager
Job Description
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. The Services Solutions Manager (SSM) is a fully qualified professional responsible for managing complex engagements. This role focuses on the strategic transition of customers from purchasing "hours" to achieving "defined impact" and business value. You will act as a consultative challenger, ensuring that every Statement of Work (SOW) is a rigorous, milestone-driven roadmap linked to specific business outcomes. WHY THIS ROLE?
- Complex Problem Solving: Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Strategic Impact: Own the services lifecycle for high-stakes, complex engagements, ensuring technical discovery is grounded in core product capabilities.
- Operational Leadership: Implement formal Scope Governance and maintain practice margin health through meticulous SFDC rigor.
- Scope Governance: Lead deep technical discovery pre-signature and implement formal, auditable change management processes for all scope modifications.
- Commercial Data Integrity: Own the accuracy of bookings forecasts and financial milestones in SFDC, ensuring the commercial health of the practice.
- Value Engineering: Translate complex business challenges into milestone-driven roadmaps, ensuring SOW alignment with customer Use Cases.
- Cross-Functional Networking: Network with senior internal and external personnel in your area of expertise to drive alignment on the "Unified Front." OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree.
Skills
Proven ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions in complex environments. Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake. How do you want to make your impact? - Build a concise demo portfolio that showcases end‑to‑end Snowflake solutions you’ve designed: include architecture diagrams, SnowSQL/ Snowpark scripts, and measurable outcomes (e.g., query latency cut by 40% or storage cost reduced by 30%). Host it on a public GitHub repo with a clear README that ties each artifact to a business problem you solved.
- Master Snowflake’s AI‑native features (Snowpark, Snowflake Cortex, and native Python UDFs) and be ready to discuss a “quick‑test” experiment you ran on‑the‑fly—describe the hypothesis, the data set, the model used, and the impact. Interviewers will probe for your ability to treat AI as a collaborative tool, not just a buzzword.
- Highlight experience with SaaS services‑delivery frameworks (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, ServiceNow, or Atlassian Jira Service Management) and illustrate how you integrated them with Snowflake for automated onboarding or usage‑based billing. Prepare a one‑page “service‑solution playbook” that maps each stage of a client engagement to specific Snowflake capabilities.
- Emphasize low‑ego, experimental mindset in your interview stories: pick a time you deliberately “failed fast” on a new Snowflake feature (e.g., testing Snowflake External Functions) and iterated based on feedback. Use the STAR format to show how you owned the outcome and shared learnings across teams.
- For salary negotiation, research the UK remote market for senior cloud‑services roles (typically £130‑160 k base + equity). Prepare a data‑driven pitch that aligns your proven cost‑savings or revenue‑generation results (from your portfolio) with Snowflake’s FY‑23 growth targets, and request a remote‑work stipend or professional‑development budget to reinforce your commitment to continuous experimentation.
