How to Stand Out
- Highlight your expertise with claims adjustment software (e.g., Xactimate, Guidewire) in your résumé and be ready to demonstrate a 5‑minute live walk‑through of a complex claim file during the interview, showing how you capture data, assess liability, and document decisions.
- Build an Excel “audit dashboard” that showcases key metrics you’ve tracked in past roles (e.g., claim cycle time, reserve accuracy, loss ratio). Include pivot tables, conditional formatting, and VBA macros—attach the file to your application or share a read‑only link so interviewers can see your analytical rigor.
- Tailor your cover letter to TMHCC’s “Mind Over Risk” philosophy by describing a specific instance where you identified a hidden risk in a specialty line (e.g., cyber‑ liability, marine cargo) and instituted a process change that reduced exposure by ≥ 15 %. Quantifiable results resonate with TMHCC’s innovation focus.
- Prepare concise case‑study stories that align with TMHCC’s core values—Innovation, Unity, Trust. For each story, use the STAR format and emphasize remote collaboration tools (Teams, Slack, shared SharePoint workbooks) you used to coordinate with underwriters, actuaries, and global teams.
- Research TMHCC’s compensation bands for senior auditors (typically $85K–$105K base + performance bonus). When the offer comes, reference your proven audit‑accuracy improvements (e.g., 98 % audit hit‑rate) and the Excel dashboard you’ll implement to justify a salary at the top of the range, plus a remote‑work stipend for home‑office upgrades.
