How to Stand Out
- Showcase a data‑driven GTM playbook: build a concise 2‑page case study (PDF) that details a go‑to‑market strategy you designed, the Excel models you built for sizing, forecasting, and KPI tracking, and the measurable lift (e.g., 30% CAC reduction, 2x pipeline growth) you achieved for a mobile‑first product. Attach this as a portfolio link in your application and reference it in your cover letter.
- Tailor your resume to SplitMetrics’ ecosystem: for each prior role, highlight experience with app store optimization, Apple Ads, or A/B testing tools (e.g., Firebase, SplitMetrics Optimize). Use exact terminology from the job description (e.g., “Apple Ads automation,” “keyword‑level performance modeling”) so ATS and hiring managers instantly see relevance.
- Demonstrate Excel mastery in the interview: prepare a live “budget‑to‑forecast” exercise using a pre‑filled workbook (you can ask for a sample beforehand). Focus on advanced functions—Power Query, dynamic arrays, pivot‑charts, and scenario analysis—to illustrate how you would allocate spend across Acquire, Agency, and Optimize services.
- Emphasize remote leadership competence: reference concrete examples of managing distributed marketing teams across Europe (e.g., weekly async stand‑ups, OKR dashboards in Notion/Asana, cross‑time‑zone launch coordination). Prepare a 5‑minute video or slide deck showing your remote communication workflow and how you maintain alignment on GTM initiatives.
- Negotiate with market data: research the average VP of Marketing compensation for SaaS companies in the EU (e.g., €180‑220k base + 15‑20% performance bonus). In your salary discussion, tie desired total‑comp to specific KPIs you plan to hit (e.g., 25% YoY revenue lift from Apple Ads). Present a brief “impact‑compensation matrix” to demonstrate ROI for the company.
