How to Stand Out
- Highlight your experience building consumer‑facing fintech products at scale: in your resume and interview, showcase 2–3 concrete projects where you led end‑to‑end product cycles (ideation → launch → growth) that improved user financial health metrics (e.g., reduced overdraft fees by X% or increased credit‑score uplift). Include KPI dashboards or brief case‑study PDFs as part of your portfolio to let Brigit’s interviewers see the data‑driven impact.
- Demonstrate mastery of the remote product stack Brigit uses: list proficiency with tools such as Figma for collaborative design, Mixpanel/Amplitude for product analytics, Jira + Confluence for agile workflow, and Slack/Zoom for cross‑functional communication. In your cover letter, cite a recent remote sprint you ran, the cadence you set, and how you kept stakeholders aligned across engineering, design, and compliance.
- Prepare a “customer‑first” narrative that mirrors Brigit’s mission of transparent, fair finance: research Brigit’s core products (e.g., Overdraft Guard, Credit Builder) and draft a 5‑minute product vision slide that identifies a current user pain point, proposes a hypothesis, and outlines a rapid‑experiment roadmap. Interviewers will look for empathy with everyday Americans and the ability to translate that into measurable product initiatives.
- Bring a concise “leadership playbook” for autonomy and ownership: compile a 1‑page framework you’ve used to empower product managers to own OKRs, conduct discovery interviews, and make trade‑off decisions without micromanagement. Share this during the interview and be ready to discuss how you’d adapt it to Brigit’s remote culture and its recognition for employee empowerment.
- Leverage Brigit’s recent accolades in your salary discussion: research market rates for VP of Product roles in remote fintech (e.g., 150‑180 k base + 0.2‑0.3 % equity). Reference Brigit’s Best Places to Work awards as evidence of a strong culture that justifies a competitive package, and propose a compensation mix that includes performance‑based equity tied to user‑financial‑health milestones you’ll own.
