Senior Digital Marketing Specialist- Remote
WFA Digital Insight
The Mortgage Talent Network’s senior digital marketing opening stands out because it couples high‑level paid‑media execution with deep mortgage‑industry compliance. Candidates will steer an integrated strategy that spans web, email, SEO, and social while maintaining strict adherence to RESPA, TILA/Reg Z, Fair Housing and NMLS rules. Ownership of the corporate website and its conversion funnels adds a product‑owner flavor, and the role demands close collaboration with loan officers to produce co‑branded assets that can be customized for local markets. Managing a full MarTech stack—including Salesforce, Total Expert and other mortgage‑specific platforms—means the right applicant must blend analytical rigor with hands‑on creative production. This is less a generic digital‑marketing job and more a strategic hub where compliance, technology and brand storytelling intersect.
Job Description
Our client, a well-established residential retail mortgage lender is seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist with mortgage industry experience to lead the company's digital marketing strategy. This remote role owns brand presence, lead generation, and marketing support for loan officers across the retail production channel, while ensuring all campaigns meet mortgage advertising compliance standards.
• Develop and execute an integrated digital marketing strategy across web, email, social, SEO, and paid media (SEM/social ads).
• Own the company website: content, user experience, and lead-capture/conversion optimization.
• Build and manage CRM and marketing automation campaigns (e.g., Salesforce, Total Expert, Jungo, Surefire/Top of Mind) supporting
loan officers and referral partners.
• Design co-branded marketing collateral and campaign templates loan officers can customize for their local markets.
• Ensure all marketing content complies with RESPA, TILA/Reg Z, Fair Housing, UDAAP, and NMLS advertising requirements; partner with
compliance/legal on review and approval.
• Plan and manage paid digital campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn) targeting purchase and refinance borrowers, real estate agents,
and referral sources.
• Manage organic and local SEO, landing pages, and content marketing (blog, guides, rate/market updates).
• Oversee social media strategy, content calendar, and community engagement across company and branch/LO profiles.
• Track, analyze, and report on KPIs — cost per lead, conversion rate, funded-loan attribution, and marketing ROI.
• Manage the marketing budget and vendor relationships (agencies, MarTech platforms, printers, sponsorships).
• Support recruiting marketing efforts to attract and onboard new loan officers.
• Manage online reputation and reviews (Google, Zillow, social channels).
• Administer the marketing technology stack and its integration with the CRM/LOS.
• Collaborate with sales leadership and individual loan officers to build localized market campaigns and promotions.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred but not required; equivalent hands-on experience
in this role will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Digital marketing experience with mortgage or lending industry background required, gained within the last 3-5 years.
• Working knowledge of mortgage advertising compliance (RESPA, TILA/Reg Z, Fair Housing, NMLS requirements).
• Hands-on experience with mortgage-specific CRM/marketing automation tools (Total Expert, Jungo, Surefire, BombBomb, or similar).
• Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and SEO tools.
• Strong written communication and content creation skills.
• Experience supporting loan officer/producer co-branded marketing.
• Comfortable appearing on camera and/or producing video content for marketing/PR purposes.
• Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) a plus.
How to Stand Out
- Highlight specific campaigns you’ve run in Google Ads or Meta that complied with mortgage advertising rules; include brief results.
- Provide a portfolio that showcases both paid‑media dashboards and examples of co‑branded collateral for loan officers.
- Mention any hands‑on experience with Salesforce, Total Expert, Jungo or similar mortgage‑focused CRM platforms.
- Prepare to discuss how you stay current on RESPA, TILA/Reg Z and NMLS compliance during the interview.
- Emphasize video or on‑camera work you’ve done; a short intro video can set you apart.
- When negotiating, reference the remote‑work stipend and professional‑development budget as negotiable items.
- Be wary of offers that don’t include clear compliance support; a solid legal partnership is essential in this role.
