How to Stand Out
- Create a one‑page “NHS Impact Dashboard” in Excel that maps your past sales results to key NHS metrics (e.g., order intake, bed‑coverage growth, cost‑per‑bed reduction). Highlight percentages, trend charts, and a brief narrative on how your actions drove measurable patient‑care improvements—Philips interviewers love data that ties revenue to clinical outcomes.
- Prepare a short video (2‑3 min) or slide deck showing a real‑world case where you introduced a monitoring or analytics solution to a hospital or health‑care network. Include screenshots of the solution, your role in the sales cycle, and the post‑implementation ROI; upload it to your LinkedIn profile and reference the link in your cover letter.
- Master Philips Adjust (the internal analytics platform) before the interview: complete a free trial or sandbox, then build a sample report that predicts equipment utilization for a fictional NHS Trust. Bring the PDF to the interview and be ready to walk the panel through your methodology—demonstrates immediate readiness to hit the ground running.
- Research the specific NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and private hospital groups in North East England. Identify one current pain point (e.g., staff shortages in ICU monitoring) and draft a concise 200‑word “value proposition” on how Philips’ Patient Monitoring portfolio can pre‑empt that issue. Cite recent NHS press releases to show you’re up‑to‑date.
- When discussing salary, anchor your ask to Philips’ 2023 UK Remote Work Compensation Benchmark for Account Managers (≈ £70‑80k base + OTE). Cite the cost‑of‑living index for the North East and the additional value you bring via proven NHS contracts; propose a performance‑linked bonus tied to hitting the first‑year Order Intake target.
