B2B/Product Marketing Lead
WFA Digital Insight
Sweatpals is building a community‑first fitness platform that blends social experiences with SaaS tools for gym owners and independent instructors. The B2B/Product Marketing Lead sits at the crossroads of product, growth and sales, owning the narrative that turns new features into concrete reasons for hosts to join, stay, and expand their businesses. What makes this role unique is the blend of lifecycle marketing, hands‑on product launch work, and direct support for the sales engine—everything from crafting host‑focused case studies to shaping in‑app onboarding journeys. Candidates will need to balance creative storytelling with data‑driven adoption tracking, and they’ll be expected to drive both external thought leadership and internal enablement without a heavy hierarchy. It’s a chance to shape a fast‑moving brand while influencing how fitness entrepreneurs scale their side‑hustles into full‑time ventures.
Job Description
ABOUT SWEATPALS Sweatpals is the community-first fitness platform turning workouts into social experiences. Backed by a16z speedrun, Patron, Kevin Hart, Pear VC, and founders of Instacart and DreamWorks Animation, we connect hundreds of thousands of "pals," hosts, and gyms through events, memberships, and social features. We're still scrappy at heart, but scaling fast. We believe working out should be joyful, social, and inclusive — not just a solo grind. From run clubs and beach pilates to pickleball leagues and cold plunge socials, Sweatpals turns everyday workouts into meaningful social experiences. Sweatpals also gives local leaders the tools to grow their fitness communities from side hustles to full-time, even multi-million dollar businesses. Hosts use our platform to run their business, from ticketing and memberships to marketing tools. We're an AI-forward company. If you're excited about building real products for real communities at the intersection of technology and human connection, you'll fit right in. THE ROLE Sweatpals is looking for a B2B / Product Marketing Lead to own the full marketing journey for our host community — from the moment a fitness entrepreneur or community leader discovers Sweatpals to the point they're a loyal advocate for the brand. You'll sit at the intersection of Lifecycle, Growth, Sales, and Product, turning what we build into reasons for hosts to join, stay, and grow with us. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Host product marketing & feature adoption (~50%) - Partner with Product on the roadmap, translating new features into clear value narratives for Hosts, and own end-to-end launch plans for new feature sets to our Host base.
- Run product education campaigns to gyms and studios in our CRM — own the narrative and content, and co-own conversion results, educating current event hosts on our gym & studio suite and passing any relevant leads from our own CRM to our Sales team - Own thought leadership and blog strategy, building Sweatpals' voice as a trusted resource for fitness entrepreneurs.
- Brief the Social team on feature rollouts and how they should show up across channels that could include Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok and LinkedIn - Collaborate with Engineering and Data on feature adoption tracking capabilities (event tracking, deep links).
- Build out our Host (B2B) content library with thought leadership pieces, one-pagers, and migration guides, in partnership with our Customer Success team.
- Support Sales and Success with pitch decks, pricing sheets, and other materials that set them up for success.
- Lead production on testimonial videos, working closely with Design.
- Partner with Sales and Success to host B2B networking events that connect fitness industry leaders, make current hosts feel valued, and help acquire new hosts in key markets.
- Own onboarding education that reaches Hosts outside the product. (Product owns the in-product onboarding flow; this role owns everything around it.) WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 6–10 years of experience in B2B or product marketing.
- Deep experience with B2B advertising and lifecycle marketing strategy.
- A self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities, proposes solutions, and leads initiatives without needing hand-holding or constant direction.
- Confidence owning and executing the B2B marketing roadmap end-to-end — you can tell us what needs to happen, and deliver excellent work.
- Reliability, accountability, and consistency — you take pride in execution quality and hitting outcomes.
- Experience influencing and collaborating closely with Product, Sales, Account Management, and Support.
- Experience at a marketplace business and/or early-stage startup, preferred.
How to Stand Out
- Highlight specific campaigns where you turned a product feature into measurable host adoption; include metrics if possible.
- Prepare a short portfolio of blog posts, case studies, or sales decks you’ve created; link them in your application.
- Demonstrate familiarity with CRM and email automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) during the interview.
- Expect scenario questions about launching a new feature to a diverse host base; outline your planning, messaging, and measurement steps.
- When discussing compensation, research typical equity ranges for remote SaaS roles and be ready to negotiate on both salary and equity components.
- Watch for red flags such as unclear reporting lines or lack of defined success metrics; ask clarifying questions early.
