- Build a live Salesforce demo: before the interview, import a sample dataset of corporate merchants (e.g., 50+ accounts) into a free Salesforce Developer Edition, create custom fields for payment‑tech adoption stage, and design a dashboard that tracks pipeline velocity, win‑rate, and average deal size. Bring screenshots or a short 2‑minute screen‑share walk‑through to show you can hit the ground running with Fiserv’s CRM.
- Showcase Excel‑driven ROI models: prepare a one‑page Excel workbook that quantifies the financial impact of Fiserv’s payment solutions for a mid‑market retailer (e.g., $1.2 M annual processing volume → 0.8 % cost reduction = £9.6 k/year). Include clear formulas, a sensitivity analysis, and a visual chart. Attach the file to your application or reference it in your interview to prove you can translate technical specs into business value.
- Highlight consultative selling experience in fintech: in your CV and interview, frame at least two recent deals where you identified a merchant’s pain (e.g., fragmented POS integration) and positioned a technology stack as a solution, citing metrics such as “shortened implementation time by 30 %” or “increased transaction volume by 12 %”. Use the STAR method and tie the story to Fiserv’s ecosystem of banks, merchants, and consumers.
- Prepare a remote‑work proof point portfolio: compile a PDF or LinkedIn showcase with three items—(1) a Zoom‑recorded client presentation, (2) a Slack or Teams conversation where you coordinated with a product team to resolve a technical objection, and (3) a KPI dashboard you built in Salesforce or Excel. Mention the tools (Zoom, Teams, Slack, Miro) you used to stay productive across time zones, demonstrating you thrive in Fiserv’s distributed environment.
- Negotiate with UK remote‑work benchmarks: research Fiserv’s reported salary bands for Sales Consultants in the UK (≈ £55‑£70k base plus OTE) and factor in a “remote allowance” (e.g., £2k‑£4k for home‑office setup). In the final offer discussion, cite your proven pipeline creation (e.g., $2 M qualified opportunities in the last 12 months) and request a base at the top of the band plus a performance‑linked bonus structure that aligns with Fiserv’s “value‑first” compensation philosophy.
