- Highlight your mastery of the CRM platforms ProAg uses (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot) by attaching a one‑page “Sales Dashboard Sample” that shows how you tracked leads, pipeline stages, and closed‑won metrics for a multi‑state agricultural portfolio; reference specific KPIs (conversion rate, average deal size, churn) that mirror ProAg’s focus on agent performance.
- In your cover letter and interview, map out a 30‑day “Territory Penetration Plan” for MN, IA, and NE: identify key ag‑insurance agents, state‑specific risk regulations, and upcoming crop cycles; use publicly available USDA reports to demonstrate you’ve researched the market and can prioritize high‑value accounts from day one.
- Prepare a brief (3‑minute) video case study—hosted on YouTube (unlisted) or a LinkedIn post—showcasing a past remote sales win where you coordinated virtual meetings across time zones, leveraged Zoom breakout rooms for agent training, and exceeded quota by ≥20%; embed the link in your résumé and be ready to discuss the tools and communication cadence you used.
- Show interviewers you thrive in a remote environment by sharing a screenshot of your home‑office setup (dual monitors, noise‑cancelling headset, high‑speed internet) and a one‑page “Productivity Tracker” that logs daily outreach, meeting minutes, and follow‑up actions; emphasize how this structure keeps you accountable while covering a three‑state district.
- When negotiating compensation, come armed with the latest Ag‑Insurance District Sales Manager salary data for the Upper Midwest (e.g., $85‑$95 k base + 10‑15 % on‑target earnings) and request a remote‑work stipend for internet/office supplies; tie the ask to measurable outcomes you plan to deliver (e.g., $1 M new premium in the first 12 months).
