Enterprise Architect
WFA Digital Insight
Zip’s Enterprise Architect opening is a rare chance to shape a brand‑new architecture practice at a fast‑moving AI procurement platform. The team sits at the nexus of sales, solution engineering, and product, meaning you’ll be the technical voice in high‑stakes conversations with CIOs, CFOs and Chief Procurement Officers. What sets this role apart is the mandate to build the entire EA function from scratch—creating reference architectures, integration narratives, security packets and objection‑handling libraries that will become the standard for future hires. Candidates will need deep ERP integration expertise and the ability to translate complex customer landscapes into actionable product road‑maps, making the position as strategic as it is hands‑on.

- Prepare a short case study that shows how you translated a complex customer requirement into a product roadmap item.
- Demonstrate familiarity with security review processes; be ready to discuss specific compliance frameworks you’ve worked with.
- During interviews, focus on your experience coaching sales or solution engineers, as the role emphasizes enablement.
- When negotiating compensation, reference the OTE range and ask about equity grant size and vesting schedule.
- Watch for vague statements about “building the function” without clear ownership – ask who you’ll report to and what success metrics are defined.
- Bring a portfolio of architecture diagrams and integration playbooks to illustrate your communication style.
