How to Stand Out
- Show Deep API & Integration Expertise: In your résumé and interview, highlight concrete projects where you designed, launched, or scaled RESTful APIs that connected EHR/EMR systems, pharmacy management software, or pharma manufacturer platforms. Include metrics (e.g., “Reduced prescription fulfillment time by 30% after integrating with XYZ EHR via HL7 FHIR”). Bring a short slide deck or live demo of an integration architecture diagram you owned to prove your technical depth.
- Demonstrate Health‑Tech Compliance Know‑How: PHIL operates in a highly regulated space. Prepare specific examples of how you ensured HIPAA, GDPR, or other drug‑distribution regulations were baked into product roadmaps (e.g., implementing audit‑ready data pipelines, consent management, or token‑based access controls). Mention any certifications (CISSP, HITRUST) or collaboration with legal/compliance teams.
- Quantify B2B2C Impact: The role bridges doctors, pharmacies, patients, and manufacturers. Be ready to discuss how you measured success across each stakeholder—e.g., “Increased pharmacy onboarding rate by 45% while maintaining a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 62 among prescribers.” Bring a one‑page KPI dashboard that shows you can track end‑to‑end prescription flow, churn, and time‑to‑delivery.
- Show Remote Leadership & Cross‑Functional Alignment: PHIL is fully remote, so interviewers will probe your ability to run distributed product squads. Share a brief case study of a remote team you led (size, time zones) using tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, and OKR platforms (e.g., Gtmhub). Highlight rituals you instituted (weekly “integration health” stand‑ups, async design reviews) and the resulting delivery cadence improvement.
- Prepare a Targeted Portfolio Piece: Create a 2‑page case study titled “Integrating a Pharmacy Network into PHIL’s Prescription Platform.” Outline the problem, your discovery process (stakeholder interviews, API mapping), solution architecture, security considerations, rollout plan, and post‑launch results. Upload this as a PDF link in your application and reference it during the interview to demonstrate you’ve already thought like a PHIL product leader.
