How to Stand Out
- Showcase Advanced Excel Projects Tied to Marketing ROI: In your resume and portfolio, include a brief case study (1‑2 pages) where you built dynamic dashboards or predictive models that linked channel spend to consumer/provider conversion rates. Highlight formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, or VBA scripts you used, and quantify the impact (e.g., “identified $250K incremental revenue by reallocating 12% of budget to high‑performing email sequences”). Bring this dashboard to the interview on a laptop or share a live Google Sheet to demonstrate fluency in real‑time data storytelling.
- Demonstrate a Test‑and‑Learn Framework with Measurable Outcomes: Prepare a 3‑minute “campaign sprint” walk‑through that outlines the hypothesis, channel mix (email, social, display, SMS), KPI selection, experimental design (A/B, multivariate), and post‑test analysis. Emphasize how you used Excel to calculate statistical significance and present findings to cross‑functional leaders. Interviewers will probe for how you iterated based on results, so have one concrete example ready where you pivoted strategy within 2‑4 weeks and achieved a lift in engagement or acquisition.
- Map Stakeholder Collaboration Using a Visual “Omnichannel Playbook”: Create a one‑page visual map (can be a PowerPoint slide or Lucidchart) that shows the flow of information between consumer insights, creative, media buying, analytics, and compliance teams for a past omnichannel initiative. Annotate where you acted as the “connector”—setting meeting cadences, aligning objectives, and resolving conflicts. Bringing this artifact signals you can navigate ResMed’s complex stakeholder ecosystem and build shared vision.
- Quantify Leadership Impact on Cross‑Team Alignment: In your interview, reference specific metrics that illustrate how you improved alignment (e.g., reduced campaign launch cycle from 6 to 4 weeks, increased stakeholder satisfaction score by 15 points, or instituted a weekly KPI sync that cut reporting errors by 30%). Use concise bullet points on a one‑page “leadership impact sheet” so interviewers can quickly see the business value you deliver beyond technical execution.
- Research and Leverage ResMed’s Compensation Benchmarks in Negotiation: Before salary discussions, consult sites like Glassdoor, Levels.fyi, and the ResMed “Career Site” for reported total‑comp ranges for senior marketing roles (typically $130‑$170k base + 10‑15% target bonus + RSU grant). Prepare a short spreadsheet that aligns your years of experience, proven ROI metrics, and Excel‑driven insights with the midpoint of that range. During the offer call, reference the data and propose a total‑comp package that includes a performance‑linked bonus tied to omnichannel KPI improvements you’ll be accountable for.
