How to Stand Out
- Highlight your ability to integrate a biblically‑informed Christian worldview into marketing concepts: in your cover letter and interview cite specific coursework or projects where you linked biblical principles (e.g., stewardship, ethical persuasion) to marketing strategies, and attach a brief “Faith‑and‑Marketing” case study as a portfolio sample.
- Demonstrate remote‑teaching readiness with concrete tech evidence: list the LMS (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and video platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams) you’ve mastered, include screenshots of a well‑organized course module you built, and mention any certifications (e.g., Certified Online Instructor, Google Certified Educator).
- Show your commitment to personalized student engagement: prepare a 1‑page “Student‑Differentiation Plan” that outlines how you would use discussion boards, adaptive quizzes, and real‑world marketing projects to meet diverse learning styles and ability levels, then reference this plan during the interview.
- Provide measurable marketing outcomes from previous roles or academic work: include a concise portfolio slide (PDF or slide deck) that details the project, target audience, tactics used, and results (e.g., “increased social‑media engagement by 42% for a faith‑based nonprofit”). Quantified results signal the “significant educational end” the university seeks.
- Leverage the university’s mission in salary negotiations: research Liberty University’s adjunct pay scale (often per credit hour) and prepare a brief justification tying your specialized expertise—Christian‑aligned marketing, proven remote instruction, and published scholarship—to a higher rate; propose a tiered rate (e.g., $X per credit plus a $Y stipend for curriculum development).
