- Build a concise Excel showcase: create a 2‑page workbook that models a typical RCM workflow (appointment scheduling → charge capture → claim submission → payment posting). Include dynamic pivot tables, slicers, and a VBA macro that simulates a “what‑if” denial scenario; attach this as a PDF portfolio link in your resume so interviewers can instantly see your analytical depth and ability to translate data into actionable insights for healthcare clients.
- Demonstrate familiarity with ModMed’s AI‑enabled specialty platform: before the interview, watch the latest product webinars and read the “AI for Revenue Cycle” whitepaper, then prepare a 3‑minute pitch outlining how you would use Excel‑driven analytics to surface hidden revenue opportunities within one of ModMed’s specialty modules (e.g., dermatology or orthopedics). This shows you can bridge data skills with their domain‑specific technology.
- Highlight remote‑first collaboration tools: list concrete examples of using Zoom, Slack, Miro, and Salesforce (or similar CRM) to run virtual product demos, capture stakeholder feedback, and close pre‑sales deals. In your interview, reference a recent remote demo you led, quantifying results (e.g., “converted 3 of 5 prospects, generating $250K pipeline in 4 weeks”).
- Prepare a case‑study narrative that mirrors ModMed’s “doctor‑by‑doctor” ethos: choose a real or simulated medical practice, describe the current RCM pain points, and walk through how you’d position ModMed’s solution, incorporating Excel‑based ROI calculations and AI‑driven denial‑reduction projections. Interviewers look for a consultative mindset that respects clinicians’ expertise while delivering tech value.
- Negotiate salary with data: research remote RCM consultant market rates (e.g., Glassdoor, Levels.fyi) for the US and adjust for your cost‑of‑living zone. Come to the offer discussion with a spreadsheet that compares base, commission, and equity components against industry benchmarks, and be ready to propose a performance‑based bonus tied to achieving specific pipeline targets in your first 6 months. This signals both preparation and a results‑focused attitude.
