Product Manager
WFA Digital Insight
Stedi’s product manager seat sits at the intersection of modern API design and the entrenched world of healthcare transaction processing. Unlike a typical SaaS role, the work here means translating the rigid X12 HIPAA standards into developer‑friendly endpoints that power eligibility checks, claims, and remittance flows. The team ships updates daily, so the cadence is fast and feedback loops are short. Direct access to the CEO and the Head of Product means a candidate can influence the overall direction of a clearinghouse that’s redefining a space that hasn’t changed in decades. Candidates should be comfortable with ambiguity, able to write precise technical documents, and eager to measure real‑world adoption of their features.
Job Description
WE'RE BUILDING A NEW HEALTHCARE CLEARINGHOUSE Stedi is building the first new healthcare clearinghouse in decades. In the healthcare sector, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) requires that all insurance payers exchange transactions such as claims, eligibility checks, prior authorizations, and remittances using a standardized EDI format called X12 HIPAA. Clearinghouses process the majority of these transactions, offering consolidated connectivity to carriers and providers. Until Stedi, the space was occupied entirely by a small group of legacy players, built on outdated, often pre-internet technology. Stedi is the world's only programmable healthcare clearinghouse. By offering modern API interfaces alongside traditional real-time and batch EDI processes, we enable both healthcare technology businesses and established players to exchange mission-critical transactions. Our clearinghouse product and customer-first approach have set us apart. Stedi was ranked by Ramp https://ramp.com/data/top-saas-vendors-on-ramp-march-2026 as one of the fastest-growing SaaS vendors. We have lightning in a bottle: engineers and designers shipping products week in and week out; a lean business team supporting the company’s infrastructure; passion for automation and eliminating toil; $142 million in funding from top investors like Stripe, Addition, USV, Bloomberg Beta, First Round Capital, and more. To learn more about how we work, watch our founder Zack’s interview with First Round Capital https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO6sR-i5rSs. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Stedi is an API-first healthcare clearinghouse. By offering a modern API interface for running eligibility checks, processing claims, and ingesting ERAs, healthcare technology businesses are able to exchange transactions with payers without dealing with the EDI protocol or carrier-specific connectivity. We are seeking a product manager to own one of Stedi's products end-to-end. You will help shape requirements, drive prioritization, and work with engineering to execute on the roadmap. This role requires someone who can thrive in ambiguity, translate complex customer needs into actionable product direction, and relentlessly pursue product performance and quality. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own the product roadmap for substantial portions of our clearinghouse offering.
- Contribute to a team that ships day in and day out – see our blog https://www.stedi.com/blog and changelog https://www.stedi.com/changelog - Report directly to the Head of Product and Engineering and work closely with the CEO to develop product direction.

- Work with our design team to develop mockups and wireframes, and our engineering team to prioritize and deliver features.
- Measure product performance to track adoption and identify areas of investment.

- 2+ years working in healthcare revenue cycle management, particularly eligibility verification workflows is strongly preferred.
- Either Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical field, or professional experience writing code are strongly preferred.
- Have an established, demonstrable track record of driving product adoption and managing a product roadmap.
- Ability to translate complex customer requirements to a highly technical audience.
- Highly curious; not satisfied with getting something to work, you want to understand why it works and how to make it high quality.
- Thrive in an ambiguous environment with a drive to ship early and often.
- If you’re unsure whether a message is legitimate or have any concerns, feel free to contact us directly at careers@stedi.com.
