- Highlight your state licensure and residency: Include a clear, searchable line in your résumé (e.g., “Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – South Carolina, active license #XXXXX”) and attach a copy of your license in the application portal to demonstrate immediate eligibility for Thriveworks’ “licensed and living in the state” requirement.
- Build an Excel‑focused case portfolio: Create a one‑page spreadsheet that tracks key tele‑psychiatry metrics you’ve managed (e.g., average visit length, no‑show rate, diagnostic coding accuracy, and revenue per hour). Use conditional formatting and a brief narrative to show how you used data to improve efficiency—Thriveworks values Excel skills for fee‑for‑service reporting.
- Emphasize telemedicine proficiency and safety protocols: In your cover letter and interview, cite specific video‑platforms you’ve used (e.g., Zoom for Healthcare, Doxy.me) and describe how you verify patient identity, obtain informed consent, and document medication decisions without “pushing” stimulants. Provide a short (2‑minute) video demo or screen‑recorded walkthrough of your typical tele‑visit workflow.
- Prepare a “clinical decision‑making” sample: Submit a de‑identified case summary (≈300 words) that shows your assessment, diagnosis, and prescribing rationale for a non‑stimulant treatment plan, highlighting how you respect Thriveworks’ policy of clinician‑driven medication choice and referral for substance‑use issues.
- Negotiate the fee‑for‑service rate with data: Research the average revenue per clinical hour for PMHNPs in SC (≈$3,500–$4,500). Present this figure alongside your Excel performance dashboard during the salary discussion to justify positioning yourself toward the higher end of the $61K‑$89K range, especially if you plan to work the full 20‑hour weekly load.
