The Resident Engineer has an instrumental role both directly servicing imaging equipment and taking great care of customer relationships. A few key responsibilities include: ● Calibrate, repair, and maintain imaging systems to OEM performance standards. ● Provide positive, professional interactions with clinical and radiology teams. ● Perform inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on a variety of imaging modalities. ● Maintain accurate service records and ensure strong asset management practices. ● Identify required parts and work with service operations on logistics (shipping, receiving, returns). ● Complete detailed documentation and service reports promptly and accurately. ● Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality requirements. ● Prioritize safety—both for yourself and for those around you—through strict adherence to protocols ● Deliver exceptional, hands-on service to customers across assigned facilities What measurable success looks like: ● Customer Service & Technical Execution Provide world-class, hands-on support to imaging customers through accurate diagnosis, repair, maintenance, calibration, and preventative service of imaging equipment within the assigned region. ● Customer Experience & Professionalism Engage with customers in a positive, professional, and solutions-oriented manner, building trust and confidence through clear communication and dependable follow-through. ● Equipment Inspection & Maintenance Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of imaging modalities in accordance with manufacturer specifications, service standards, and contractual commitments. ● Field Collaboration & Technical Support Support and collaborate with fellow engineers in the field by sharing technical expertise, assisting with complex issues, and contributing to faster, higher-quality resolutions. ● Travel & Coverage Flexibility Travel between customer sites as needed, prioritizing locations and systems where service demand is highest to ensure timely coverage and uptime. ● Parts Identification & Quoting Support Accurately identify parts required for repairs and maintenance, support quoting activities, and communicate requirements clearly to enable timely sourcing and approval. ● Parts & Logistics Coordination Manage the receipt, return, and tracking of parts and tools, ensuring proper handling, documentation, and cost awareness throughout the service process. ● Documentation & Reporting Discipline Maintain clear, accurate, and timely service documentation, including service reports, PM records, and system notes, to support continuity, compliance, and operational insight. ● Regulatory Compliance & Safety Perform all work in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, OEM guidelines, and company policies, with a consistent and sincere focus on safety for patients, customers, and team members.This is a remote position listed on WFA Digital, the platform for professionals who work from anywhere.
