RVP of Employer Sales
WFA Digital Insight
WellTheory’s RVP of Employer Sales sits at the intersection of digital health and enterprise sales, a space where few companies blend personalized care with a clear revenue engine. The role isn’t about managing a finished funnel; it expects you to design the sales playbook from scratch, partner with product and clinical teams, and own the end‑to‑end cycle for employers and health plans. Candidates who thrive here are comfortable hunting new accounts while simultaneously coaching internal stakeholders on how the platform solves real‑world autoimmune challenges. The remote‑first setup means you’ll coordinate across time zones, but you’ll also benefit from a tight‑knit team that gathers annually for a retreat, reinforcing the company’s people‑first culture.
Job Description
ABOUT WELLTHEORY WellTheory is a digital health company helping people with autoimmune conditions take control of their health through personalized care, nutrition guidance, and ongoing coaching. We're a team of 60+ passionate people who care deeply about helping our members reduce symptoms, feel better, and live fuller lives — while helping employers and payors reduce their spend. ABOUT THE ROLE WellTheory is looking for a driven RVP of Employer Sales with a proven track record to join our growing team. You'll play a central role in standing up new sales programs and optimizing existing ones — collaborating with internal teams and external partners to hit sales targets and accelerate revenue growth. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Develop and execute sales strategies to drive adoption of the WellTheory platform among enterprise clients, including employers and health plans - Build strong relationships with decision-makers and tailor compelling messaging to their needs - Source your own leads and drive deals from initial outreach through contracting and implementation - Stand up new sales programs and optimize existing ones, shaping the playbook as the team scales - Collaborate with internal teams (Implementation, Client Success, Clinical, Product) and external partners to hit sales targets and accelerate revenue growth YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...
- Have 7-12+ years of experience in BD/sales managing complex channel partnerships and/or B2B healthcare, ideally at a best-in-class digital health company - Have strong B2B2C/B2B/enterprise experience — you can manage an end-to-end sales cycle for strategic enterprise accounts, including financial modeling and legal negotiation - Enjoy sourcing your own pipeline and thrive in a build-and-learn environment — you're comfortable hunting rather than waiting for inbound, and energized by helping create the playbook rather than stepping into a mature, fully built sales engine - Take initiative without a roadmap — you're proactive and resourceful, comfortable making judgment calls, and see white space as opportunity - Are a strong verbal and written communicator — you think of yourself as a storyteller more than a "salesperson," and know how to educate the market and shift how decision-makers see problems and possibilities - Are organized and diligent — you keep documentation and your CRM up to date, run a tight process, and juggle a long list of prospects without dropping the ball - Bring a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality — no job is too small, and you're equally comfortable in the boardroom or hopping on a last-minute flight to meet a partner in person - Take a consultative, realistic approach — you treat sales as a partnership, ask thoughtful questions, and keep forecasts grounded in reality rather than wishful thinking BONUS POINTS - You've been called a "force of nature" and have done something most people wouldn't — run a marathon, started a company, earned a degree while working full-time, or overcome significant adversity - You have deep empathy for the autoimmune experience — you don't need to have an autoimmune condition yourself, but you can genuinely connect with and convey the lived experience of autoimmune patients - Approach work with a beginner's mindset — you love learning, solve problems from the ground up, and stay open-minded about new approaches WHAT WE OFFER - A team that genuinely cares about each other and the members we serve - A fully remote company that gathers every year for an annual retreat - A base salary range of $145,000 - $185,000 in addition to variable compensation, meaningful equity, and benefits.
How to Stand Out
- Highlight any previous experience selling health‑tech or digital‑health platforms to enterprise clients in your resume and cover letter.
- Prepare a brief case study that shows how you built a sales playbook from zero and the measurable impact it had.
- Practice storytelling that links autoimmune patient outcomes to ROI for employers; interviewers will look for this empathy‑driven narrative.
- Keep your LinkedIn profile up‑to‑date with specific metrics (e.g., deal size, sales cycle length) because the role is data‑focused.
- When discussing compensation, reference the disclosed salary band and be ready to negotiate equity or performance bonuses based on your track record.
- Watch for any red flag that the interview process lacks clarity on decision‑making authority or onboarding support; ask direct questions early.
- Use a CRM‑like format in your interview prep (pipeline stages, forecasting) to demonstrate your disciplined approach.
