Senior Software Engineer, Backend
WFA Digital Insight
Vector’s backend team is tackling the gritty, real‑time problems of freight movement, a niche that demands reliability at scale. As a senior engineer you won’t just be maintaining existing services; you’ll own entire components that coordinate dock appointments, driver check‑ins and warehouse workflows. The stack centers on Java, Guice and Postgres, but the job description emphasizes fundamentals over any single framework, giving you freedom to shape architecture. Collaboration is baked in – you’ll partner daily with product managers, mobile and web front‑ends, and the platform group to deliver a seamless user experience. If you thrive on ambiguous, high‑impact problems and enjoy steering technical direction in a flat organization, this role stands out.
