How to Stand Out
- Showcase Adjust & Excel mastery with real data projects: Build a short, shareable Tableau‑style dashboard (or Google Data Studio) that uses Adjust’s mobile‑attribution APIs to pull campaign data, then clean, analyze, and visualize the results in Excel pivot tables and Power Query. Include a brief read‑me that explains the problem, your methodology, and the impact—link it in your résumé and the Dev Talent Network profile.
- Create a remote‑ready development portfolio: Host a GitHub repo containing at least two full‑stack apps (e.g., a webhook listener for Adjust events and an Excel‑export utility). Use a README that lists the tech stack, CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions), and how you collaborated asynchronously (issue tracking, pull‑request reviews). Add a short video walkthrough (2 min max) to demonstrate remote communication skills.
- Tailor your cover letter to the “always recruiting” model: Reference Dev’s Talent Network purpose by explaining how you’ll stay engaged while waiting for a specific opening—e.g., propose monthly “skill‑share” webinars, contribute to open‑source Adjust SDKs, or volunteer to review fellow applicants’ code samples in the community forum.
- Highlight remote‑work competencies the interviewers value: In your application, list concrete tools (Slack, Notion, Miro, VPN) and habits (daily stand‑up updates, time‑zone overlap windows, documented hand‑offs). Attach a one‑page “Remote Work Playbook” that outlines your routine, communication cadence, and how you troubleshoot connectivity or security issues.
- Prepare data‑driven answers for the interview: Expect questions like “How have you used Excel to optimize a development workflow?” Prepare a STAR story where you automated a reporting pipeline (e.g., using VBA or Power Automate) that reduced manual data entry by X % and saved Y hours per month. Quantify results and tie them back to business outcomes relevant to Dev’s product analytics.
