Sr. AI Product Manager
Job Description
MinIO is the data and memory foundation for enterprise AI. Built for the speed, scale, and economics that AI and analytics demand, AIStor and MemKV unify every layer of the data stack, from agentic and inference context memory to tables and objects across core, edge, and cloud. Trusted by 77% of the Fortune 100, MinIO is redefining how AI factories, intelligent applications, and autonomous agents secure, persist, and unlock the full value of their data. This is the senior product role on a small, high-leverage product team. You'll own key pieces of the product line — from how we position it, to how we price it, to how the field sells it. You'll work closely with engineering and be the person Marketing and Field teams looks to for the answer to "why us, why now”. We need a product leader who lives close to customers and to revenue, who can hold a deeply technical conversation with multiple stakeholders - from technical buyers to executives, and who treats GTM as a first-class part of the product — not something that happens after the product is "done." What You Will Do: Your Skills and Experience: What We Offer:
Equal Opportunity Policy (EEO)
MinIO is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer. We review applications for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, veteran status, genetic information, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
How to Stand Out
- Build a Mini‑Case Study on AI Data Infrastructure: Create a 2‑page PDF that outlines a GTM strategy for a hypothetical AI‑centric storage product (e.g., “Real‑time vector embeddings store”). Include market sizing, positioning matrix, pricing tiers, and an Excel‑based financial model showing ARR projections and unit economics. Bring this to the interview and reference it when discussing how you’d “own the product line” at MinIO.
- Show Deep Excel Fluency with Real‑World Metrics: Prepare a live Excel workbook (or Google Sheet) that demonstrates pivot tables, dynamic charts, and scenario analysis for pricing elasticity (e.g., on‑prem vs. cloud SKUs). During the interview, ask to open the file and walk the interviewers through how you’d use it to advise the field sales team on discount approvals and quota planning.
- Demonstrate AI‑First Product Positioning: Research MinIO’s AIStor and MemKV releases and write a one‑page positioning brief that contrasts “traditional object storage” with “AI‑ready memory layer.” Highlight 2‑3 concrete value props (speed, cost per inference, edge latency) and suggest a tagline and messaging pillars you’d test with the field. Drop this brief into your application or share it in a follow‑up email.
- Highlight Remote Collaboration Wins: In your résumé and interview, cite at least two remote product launches where you synced engineering, marketing, and field teams across time zones. Quantify impact (e.g., “Reduced time‑to‑market by 22% via weekly async sprint reviews and a shared OKR dashboard”). Bring screenshots of the collaboration tools (Notion, Miro, Slack) to prove you thrive in a distributed environment—exactly the setup MinIO uses.
- Prepare a Structured Salary Negotiation Pitch: Research 2024 US remote senior product manager comps (base $150‑$180k, equity 0.05‑0.15%). Draft a brief “value‑add” sheet linking your AI‑data market experience to expected revenue uplift (e.g., “+$3M ARR in FY25”). Use this to negotiate a package that includes a higher equity grant and a quarterly performance bonus tied to GTM milestones, showing you understand MinIO’s growth‑driven culture.
